Description

Sleeprunner Studios is a a small Indie Developer Studio based in Bayreuth, Germany. The company was founded in early 2020 with the goal to develop core games for PC and consoles, and specializes in developing 3D games in the Unreal Engine. Aside from game development the studio offers services in the fields of 3D Visualization, VR, Technical Consulting, and Software Development.

History

Even before the company was founded, the team of five people worked on various game projects together. This applies to both participating in a variety of Game Jams and the development of several student projects. In the course of their graduation the team set up and founded Sleeprunner Studios, making their shared childhood dream come true. The team worked on several prototypes, including the Roguelite Action RPG called Downfall Hearts and the 3D platformer Trail of Toads. Downfall Hearts was funded by the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern with 100.000,00 Euros. In 2024 the game Windstorm: Start of a Great Friendship - Remastered as well as the Winter Wonderland DLC were released on PC, Playstation 5, and Xbox Series. Both projects emerged from a collaboration with Aesir Interactive and were published by Mindscape.
